Joe completed the entire journey himself. Carlisle Castle to the Tyne Bridge, setting off at 17:30 on Saturday 26 September 2026.
No overnight stop. No sleep. One continuous push. Through Saturday night and throughout Sunday, he kept moving until he reached the Tyne.
It was never about setting a record. It was about doing something difficult to raise as much support as possible for Nepal.

The support operation
Nobody is out there on their own.
Alexander Adventures provided the operational support for the challenge. A dedicated minibus and driver leapfrogged the route throughout, carrying food, water, hot drinks, spare clothing, lighting, communications, navigation, first-aid and emergency equipment.

Joe had been walking continuously since 17:30 on Saturday. He reached the Tyne Bridge on Sunday afternoon, inside twenty-four hours.
He did not do it alone. A small team of walkers joined him for the whole thing, setting off together from Carlisle Castle and finishing together at the Tyne.
Thank you to everyone who came down to the Quayside, stood at the roadside somewhere on the route, or followed along from home.
